On April 2nd 2017, while many of us were enjoying ourselves at the Collingrove Hillclimb, Ross O’Neill succumbed to his injuries as a result of a road accident. Ross was in his 6th year as a member of HMCRRSA and will be sadly missed. Gregarious, enthusiastic and always ready to lend a hand, he and his family had become a regular part of our group that camped between the Clubrooms and Race Office at Mac Park. From a steady start on his 350cc BSA #59, Ross had become a competitive rider in that class. The “Road House” was becoming a familiar fixture in the campground, and we would all drool when he’d bring his lovely Egli Vincent to a ride day or similar. Regrettably, he’ll never get a chance to get to grips with his recently purchased Manx Norton. Our thoughts are with Jenny, Thomas and the rest of the family, his sister Jane and brother in law Dan. RIP Ross!

Trevor Henderson, President HMCRRSA.
